Issue of diamonitirion

Once we have confirmed that we shall submit your details for the issuance of the diamonitirion, you no longer need to wait for another confirmation.

The issue of the diamonitirion is only possible on the day of arrival on Mount Athos, just before boarding.
It can also be received in the next 3 days.

It's not possible to get your diamoniturio in advance! If you try to look for it before the day specified for entry into the Holy Mountain, you will be answered that you have no request!

Pilgrims receive their diamonitirios at  the Pilgrims' Office in Ouranoupoli. The office is under the administration of the Holy Community of Mount Athos.

Opening hours: 07:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

You will be asked for your ID card or passport (the number you filled in the diamontitirion application) and a fee.

For Orthodox the fee is €25, for non-Orthodox it is €35.
